As the lead product designer at Hypha, I’m designing an AI pre-screen that turns a broker’s raw deal package into a fast, trustworthy go/no-go for commercial real estate lenders, with every number cited back to its source.


The first-pass screen that took one to two days now takes minutes: 8X faster speed to decision, 97% error reduction, and 3X more source-linked analysis. Watching the underwriter run it, his reaction said it best: “I love it, and I love being able to capture more data.”

How I Work

Step 1: Problem Definition & Strategic Alignment

Every project starts with research—I dive into industry trends, look for inspiration from adjacent markets that could help us stand out, review what we already know about our users, catalog existing pain points, and pull insights from any relevant data we’ve collected. Then I bring stakeholders together to ensure user needs align with business goals, which helps us prioritize what matters most and plan our next steps strategically.
